You know how at Cinnabon you can buy the “center of the roll”? It’s essentially just the ooey-gooey middle section of a cinnamon roll and arguably the best part. When you make these Instant Pot canned cinnamon rolls it’s cooked with wet heat rather than dry heat (like in an oven) and the entire roll feels like the center of the roll!

The Process
1. Add Water
Start by adding 1 cup of water to the inner pot of your Instant Pot.

2. Add Cinnamon Rolls
Add your 8 canned cinnamon rolls into a springform pan, or other similar pan made of metal and seal it with foil. Make sure you use the normal size, not the “grands” larger size! You can use a dish made of another material but you will need to cook longer as the metal conducts heat best. Put the pan onto a trivet and place it in the inner pot of your Instant Pot.

3. Pressure Cook and Release
Pressure cook for 25 minutes and quick-release the pressure when it’s finished!

4. Enjoy!
Remove the cinnamon rolls from the pan and cover them with the included glaze. I like to thin it with a bit of water or milk so it drizzles nicely.

FAQ
Why do I need to cover it with foil?
Since the Instant Pot uses steam to cook, without foil the water will get onto the cinnamon rolls. We don’t want soggy, we want gooey!
I don’t have a springform pan, can I use another pan?
You can use any metal pan that will fit in the Instant Pot and leave room around the edges for the steam to circulate. A dish made of another material such as glass or silicone will work but you’ll need to cook it longer than 25 minutes. Timing will vary depending on the material.
What size Instant Pot did you use to make this recipe?
I used a 6-quart Duo Plus. If using a larger Instant Pot, use the minimum liquid allowed to pressurize. Usually 1.5 cups is good.
